The ITIL® 4 Incident Management Practitioner is a one-day course that develops practical expertise in the Incident Management practice within the ITIL 4 framework. Incident Management is one of the most visible and business-critical practices in IT service management. This course provides a structured deep-dive into how incidents are detected, logged, categorised, prioritised, escalated, and resolved – minimising disruption and restoring normal service operation as quickly as possible.

Designed for practitioners already holding ITIL® 4 Foundation, this course provides in-depth coverage of the practice’s concepts, activities, roles, and metrics – and prepares you for the single-practice practitioner examination.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Define the key concepts, principles, value, and challenges of Incident Management
  • Describe the inputs, outputs, and activities of the Incident Management practice
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities involved in Incident Management
  • Apply Incident Management processes and procedures in real-world scenarios
  • Apply effective prioritisation and categorisation to manage incident queues efficiently
  • Understand the relationship between Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Desk practices
  • Prepare for the ITIL® 4 Incident Management Practitioner examination

  • Pass mark: 65% (13 out of 20)
  • Open book: No
  • Exam delivery: Online proctored or paper-based at an authorised test centre
