Any questions?
Most organisations are already using AI, whether through approved tools, embedded features in existing software or staff experimenting on their own. Far fewer have decided who owns it, what the rules are, and how they would know if something went wrong.
This one-day certification course introduces the AI Governance Framework developed by PDC with Pink Elephant. It gives you a structured way to set direction, assign accountability, manage risk and keep improving how AI is governed across the whole organisation – not just in IT.
The framework covers eight capabilities: leadership and strategy; policies and standards; risk and compliance; security and privacy; responsible AI (ethics, bias, transparency and human oversight); AI operations; people and culture; and measurement and improvement.
What makes this course different is that you work on your own organisation throughout. As each capability is covered, you score your organisation against a set of maturity statements. By the end of the day you have a maturity profile, a clear view of your gaps and risks, and a first-cut AI Governance Improvement Roadmap to take back to your leadership team.
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
– Explain why every organisation needs AI governance, whatever its size or sector
– Describe the eight capabilities of the AI Governance Framework
– Carry out an AI governance maturity assessment of your own organisation
– Interpret the results to identify strengths, gaps and the business risks they create
– Prioritise improvement initiatives
– Build an initial AI Governance Improvement Roadmap
– Use repeat assessments to track governance maturity over time

Once upon a time, in a bustling city where glass skyscrapers kissed the sky and the hum of technology filled the air, there was a small park. This park was an oasis of greenery amidst the urban sprawl, home to a majestic oak tree that stood tall and proud. This oak had witnessed the city grow and evolve over many decades, and it had become a symbol of strength, wisdom, and resilience for the locals.
Across the street from this park, a group of visionary entrepreneurs was in the process of establishing a new consultancy firm. They wanted a name that would not only represent their commitment to providing insightful and robust solutions but also reflect their deep roots in the community and their dedication to helping businesses grow and flourish.
One crisp autumn morning, as the founders met to brainstorm names, a ray of sunlight broke through the clouds and illuminated the old oak tree in the park. Its leaves shimmered with a golden glow, casting a warm, inviting light. Inspired by this radiant sight, one of the founders suggested the name “BrightOak.” The name embodied the brilliance of innovative ideas and the steadfast strength of the mighty oak, a perfect metaphor for their consultancy.
And so, BrightOak Consultancy was born, with a mission to illuminate the path to success for businesses of all sizes, drawing on their wisdom and experience to help clients thrive in an ever-changing world. The majestic oak continues to stand as a reminder of their origins and their commitment to excellence.
