Overview

The ITIL4 Foundation course serves as the gateway to understanding the ITIL®4 framework. It introduces candidates to the fundamentals of IT Service Management (ITSM) through a comprehensive operating model that encompasses the creation, delivery, and ongoing improvement of technology-enabled products and services.

Throughout the course, learners explore ITSM via the Service Value System (SVS). This provides a holistic, end-to-end perspective on how IT services contribute to overall business value. Moreover, this approach integrates key principles from Lean ITAgile, and DevOps, thereby offering a modern and flexible view of service management.

By completing both the training and the associated exam, participants not only gain a solid foundation in ITIL® 4 concepts. It also unlock access to the broader ITIL® 4 certification pathway, enabling further professional development and specialisation.

This course prepares you for the ITIL4 Foundation Certification examination.

  • The exam consists of a 60-minute, 40 question, closed-book, multiple-choice exam.
  • A mark of 65% is required to pass.
  • It is administered by an independent examination body, PeopleCert.
  • The exam is provided as an online examination voucher.
  • You will receive an email from PeopleCert shortly before your course with information on how to register for and schedule your exam.
  • The exam schedule is available 24/7 so you can sit your exam at a time that suits you.
  • Your voucher will be valid for 12 months, however we do recommend you complete your examination as close to the course date as you can – this is when the information is most fresh and relevant.
