The EXIN Information Security Foundation based on ISO/IEC 27001 (ISFS) provides a thorough introduction to information security management. Aligned with the internationally recognised ISO/IEC 27001 standard, the course covers the core concepts of information security – including threats, vulnerabilities, risk, controls, and the organisational practices that protect data and systems.
This two-day course is suitable for all professionals who work with or are responsible for confidential information, and is the foundation level on the EXIN ISO 27001 pathway.
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
– Explain key information security concepts including CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability)
– Describe common threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to information
– Identify appropriate security controls and their application
– Understand the structure and purpose of ISO/IEC 27001 and 27002
– Prepare for the EXIN ISFS examination
