The EXIN IT Service Management Foundation based on ISO/IEC 20000:2018 provides an introduction to IT service management aligned with the current edition of the international ISO 20000 standard. ISO/IEC 20000 is the formal specification for a Service Management System (SMS) and is used by organisations seeking certification of their IT service management practices.

This three-day course covers the requirements, structure, and purpose of ISO/IEC 20000:2018 – how it relates to ITIL and other frameworks, what a compliant SMS looks like, and the processes and controls it requires.

By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
– Explain the purpose and structure of ISO/IEC 20000:2018
– Describe what a Service Management System (SMS) is and how it operates
– Identify the key requirements and clauses of the standard
– Understand how ISO 20000 relates to ITIL and other ITSM frameworks
– Prepare for the EXIN ITSM Foundation examination

IT service managers, quality managers, auditors, and ITSM practitioners working in or towards ISO 20000 compliance.

No formal prerequisites, though ITIL Foundation or ITSM experience is beneficial.
