ITIL® (Version 5) Managing Professional Transition is the bridging qualification for experienced ITIL professionals – holders of ITIL 4 Managing Professional, ITIL 4 Master, ITIL v3 Expert or ITIL v3 Master – moving across to the Version 5 scheme without retaking the full v5 module set from scratch.
It covers digital product and service lifecycle management end-to-end, experience-led design and value creation, applying the ITIL value chain in real-world scenarios, AI and modern operating models within ITIL, and the ITIL Transformation Model’s governance and transformation concepts.
Uniquely among the Version 5 modules, this qualification requires two separate PeopleCert exams, which can be taken in either order: ITIL® Transformation (Version 5), and a dedicated ITIL® Managing Professional Transition – Product, Service, Experience (Version 5) exam.
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
– Manage the digital product and service lifecycle end-to-end, from design through delivery
– Apply experience-led design principles and explain how customer experience shapes digital service design and improvement
– Apply the ITIL value chain in real-world scenarios, creating value across integrated value streams
– Explain how AI and modern operating models are supported within ITIL
– Apply the ITIL Transformation Model’s governance and transformation concepts to support organisational change
This course is designed for experienced ITIL professionals who already hold one of:
– ITIL 4 Managing Professional
– ITIL 4 Master
– ITIL v3 Expert
– ITIL v3 Master
Candidates must currently hold ITIL 4 Managing Professional, ITIL 4 Master, ITIL v3 Expert or ITIL v3 Master. Training must be completed through an Accredited Training Organization (such as BrightOak) or official PeopleCert eLearning (noted by PeopleCert as coming soon at the time of writing) – proof of training completion is required before exam results are released.
Two separate PeopleCert examinations are required, which can be taken in either order:
Exam 1 – ITIL® Transformation (Version 5):
– 40 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes, open book, 70% pass mark
Exam 2 – ITIL® Managing Professional Transition – Product, Service, Experience (Version 5):
– 60 multiple-choice questions, 120 minutes, open book, 70% pass mark
Online examination vouchers included for both exams, valid for 12 months.
