AgilePM® Foundation is the entry-level certification on the APMG Agile Project Management pathway, based on the DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method) framework – one of the most widely used agile approaches to project management in the UK and internationally.
Over three days, this course introduces the philosophy, principles, and lifecycle that underpin AgilePM, giving you a structured yet flexible approach to delivering projects within time and budget constraints without compromising on quality or business need.
AgilePM is particularly valued in organisations that need to balance agile delivery with governance, stakeholder management, and formal project accountability – making it a practical qualification for those working in structured or regulated environments.
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
– Explain the philosophy and principles of the AgilePM framework
– Describe the DSDM project lifecycle and the roles within it
– Explain how requirements are managed in an AgilePM project using MoSCoW prioritisation
– Describe the key practices of AgilePM including timeboxing, iterative development, and collaborative working
– Understand how to tailor AgilePM to different project environments
– Prepare effectively for the AgilePM Foundation examination

There are no formal prerequisites for AgilePM Foundation. Some experience working in a project environment is beneficial.
