APMG Change Management Foundation & Practitioner is a five-day combined programme that takes you from the theory of organisational change to applying it with confidence in real situations, with both APMG examinations included.
Days one to three cover the Foundation syllabus: how organisations change, how individuals experience and respond to change, and the models, roles and stakeholder engagement approaches that underpin successful change. Days four and five build on that with the Practitioner syllabus, applying change management frameworks to complex, multi-stakeholder scenarios: change planning, impact and readiness assessment, communication and engagement strategies, managing resistance and sustaining change.
Taking both levels together is the most efficient route to full APMG Change Management certification, and costs less than booking the two courses separately.
By the end of this programme, you will be able to:
– Explain the key theories and models of organisational change and how individuals respond to change
– Describe change management roles, responsibilities and stakeholder engagement approaches
– Apply change management frameworks and models to complex, real-world change scenarios
– Develop change management plans, and assess change impact and readiness across stakeholder groups
– Design communication and engagement strategies that build commitment and manage resistance
– Embed and sustain change over time
– Sit the APMG Change Management Foundation and Practitioner examinations
This programme is designed for:
– Change managers and transformation leads who want a recognised qualification at both levels
– Project and programme managers leading change initiatives
– HR, OD and business change professionals responsible for organisational and cultural change
– IT service managers and consultants supporting technology-led transformation
There are no prerequisites for the Foundation element of this programme.
To sit the Practitioner examination you must pass the Foundation examination, which you take during this programme. Experience of managing or supporting organisational change is helpful but not required.
Two examinations are included, both administered by APMG International.
APMG Change Management Foundation:
– 50 multiple-choice questions, closed-book
– 40 minutes
– Pass mark: 50% (25 out of 50)
APMG Change Management Practitioner:
– Scenario-based objective testing, open-book (approved materials only)
– 2.5 hours
– Pass mark: 50%
Both exams can be taken online with a remote proctor.
