ITIL® Strategy (Version 5) is aimed at professionals moving into, or already working in, strategic and leadership roles – Strategy Managers, Digital Transformation Managers, Portfolio Managers, Service Managers, Enterprise Architects, IT Directors and C-suite positions.
The module covers core ITIL Strategy concepts and terminology, strategy within digital and AI-driven environments, strategy development through an observe-orient-decide-plan cycle, strategy implementation and value delivery, operating models that support strategic alignment, decision-making under complexity and uncertainty, building strategic capability and leadership, governance/risk/sustainability in strategy, and AI governance in strategy execution.
It is examined via a 40-question, 90-minute, open-book PeopleCert exam with a 70% pass mark.

– Apply strategic thinking within digital and AI-driven environments

Any ITIL 4 certification, or ITIL® (Version 5) Foundation, or ITIL® (Version 5) Foundation Bridge, is required before sitting the exam. Training must be completed through an Accredited Training Organization (such as BrightOak) or official PeopleCert eLearning – exam results are withheld without proof of completion.
