The EXIN Kanban Foundation provides a thorough introduction to the Kanban method – a highly effective approach to visualising work, managing flow, and continuously improving the delivery of IT services and products.
Over two days, the course covers the core Kanban principles and practices: visualising the workflow, limiting work in progress (WIP), managing flow, making policies explicit, implementing feedback loops, and improving collaboratively. Kanban is applicable to any team or organisation that wants to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks without a large-scale transformation effort.
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
– Explain the Kanban method and its six core practices
– Design a Kanban board appropriate to a team’s workflow
– Apply WIP limits to improve flow and reduce bottlenecks
– Use Kanban metrics (lead time, cycle time, throughput) to drive improvement
– Facilitate a basic Kanban improvement cycle
– Prepare for the EXIN Kanban Foundation examination
