The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Foundation is the essential entry-level certification for anyone involved in managing IT assets across their organisation. Over two days, this course introduces the concept, practice, and implementation of IT Asset Management – covering the full asset lifecycle from procurement through to retirement and disposal.
IT Asset Management is no longer purely an IT function. This course has been specifically designed with non-IT personnel in mind, recognising that effective ITAM requires collaboration across finance, procurement, legal, operations, and IT.
The course covers the four key ITAM disciplines – Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Service Asset and Configuration Management (SEAM), and Physical Infrastructure and Network Asset Management (PINAM) – and explains how they interrelate. It also introduces the ISO methodology and ITSM best practice as foundations for a sustainable ITAM approach.
