Overview

The ITIL® Version 5 Collaborate, Assure & Improve (CAI) Practitioner Group is a three-day course that develops cross-practice expertise across five practices focused on collaboration, quality assurance, and continual improvement:

  • Relationship Management
  • Supplier Management
  • Information Security Management
  • Service Level Management
  • Continual Improvement

The course explores how these practices work together to ensure that services are delivered to agreed standards, relationships are managed effectively, risks are governed, and improvement is embedded as a continuous discipline.

CAI is delivered using the ITIL® Version 5 syllabus and assessed by a combined examination covering all five practices.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Define the key concepts, principles, value, and challenges of each of the five CAI practices
  • Understand how the five practices interact within the Service Value System
  • Apply relationship and supplier management practices to drive value co-creation
  • Use service level management to set, measure, and improve service performance
  • Integrate information security management into service delivery
  • Embed continual improvement as a discipline across service management operations
  • Prepare for the ITIL® Version 5 CAI combined examination

This course is ideal for:

  • IT professionals involved in quality assurance, supplier management, or continual improvement
  • Service level and relationship managers
  • Security-aware IT practitioners seeking ITIL-aligned certification
  • ITIL® 4 Foundation holders seeking specialist practitioner certification
  • Those working toward the ITIL® Version 5 Practice Manager designation

The following prerequisite is required:

  • ITIL® 4 Foundation certification (or ITIL® Version 5 Foundation)

This course prepares you for the ITIL® Version 5 Collaborate, Assure & Improve combined examination, administered by PeopleCert.

  • Format: Multiple-choice questions covering all five practices
  • Exam delivery: Online proctored or paper-based at an authorised test centre
