PRINCE2® 7 Foundation & Practitioner is a five-day combined programme delivering both PRINCE2 certifications in a single, continuous learning experience. It is the most efficient route to full PRINCE2 7 qualification – covering the structured methodology from first principles through to practical application.
The programme begins with the three-day Foundation course, establishing the PRINCE2 principles, practices, processes and people elements that underpin structured project delivery. Delegates then move directly into the two-day Practitioner course, developing the ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 within real project environments.
Both examinations are included. Completing the full programme in one block maximises learning continuity and significantly reduces time out of the business compared to attending the two courses separately.
By the end of this programme, delegates will be able to:
– Explain the fundamental principles of PRINCE2 and how they support structured project delivery
– Describe the seven PRINCE2 principles, practices, and processes across the full project lifecycle
– Explain the importance of people and how to manage them effectively within a PRINCE2 project
– Apply PRINCE2 principles and practices in the context of specific project scenarios
– Tailor PRINCE2 to address the needs and context of different project environments
– Establish project governance structures and manage stakeholders and project boards
– Apply risk management, quality management, and change control techniques
– Produce and assess PRINCE2 management products appropriate to the project context
– Prepare effectively for both the Foundation (closed-book) and Practitioner (open-book) examinations
This programme is designed for:
– Individuals new to PRINCE2 who want to achieve both certifications in a single programme
– Experienced project managers formalising or updating their PRINCE2 knowledge to the 7th edition
– Project managers holding PRINCE2 Foundation who want to progress directly to Practitioner
– Project board members, team managers, and PMO professionals
– Professionals seeking the most time-efficient route to full PRINCE2 7 qualification
There are no prerequisites for the Foundation element of this programme.
To sit the Practitioner examination, delegates must hold one of the following (the Foundation exam taken during this programme satisfies this requirement):
– PRINCE2 Foundation (any edition from 6th onwards)
– Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
– Project Professional Qualification (PPQ)
– Project Management Professional (PMP)®
– Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
– IPMA Level A, B, C, or D certification
Two examinations are included, both administered by PeopleCert:
PRINCE2 7 Foundation (day 3):
– 60 questions, multiple-choice, closed-book
– 60 minutes | Pass mark: 60% (36/60)
PRINCE2 7 Practitioner (day 5):
– 70 questions, multiple-choice, open-book
– 150 minutes (2.5 hours) | Pass mark: 60% (42/70)
– Open book: official Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 (7th edition) permitted
Both exam vouchers are included, valid for 12 months, available 24/7 online.
